I woke up after the operation and looked in the mirror.
I looked so different, I almost couldn't recognize myself. My nose was much smaller, and I had some dark circles under my eyes. I tried to remember my face before, but no matter how much I tried, I just couldn't see my old self in the mirror.
Then I heard the door opening. I didn't really pay much attention to the door, as I was still struggling to get used to my new face. The room was so silent, a dead silence that, to be honest, I really liked.
Suddenly a familiar voice filled the silence of the room. I know that it was the voice of someone very closed to me, but I couldn't make out who it was, but I could hear the softness of the voice asking me "How do you feel?" but I didn't answer.
I kept staring in the mirror, motionless, deep into my thoughts, while a hundred of stuff were floating through my mind.
